we chose green

We have finished painting the kitchen. We ended up going with the green (an avacado, split pea soup kind of color) because the truth of it is we are green people. So what if we are starting to seem a bit loony since we live in a green house with a green living/dining room and now a green kitchen, we just like green.
In other news the back-splash tile arrived yesterday and looks very nice. We just can't decide what to do with the ceiling. It is composed of 1/4" thick ply wood and there are cracks at all of the seams. Originally we were going to do tin ceiling tile but decided that it just wouldn't look like it had been there for eighty years and therefore cheesy (plus pricey). So now we are trying to think of something to avoid having to do plaster work on the ceiling and most likely have the cracks show back up in a few months. Ideas?

Hey, This is Greg's wife. We have beaded board ceilings throughout. I think they were original, so we had to caulk the seams before we painted.
