We are having very fine weather today so Viola and I went out to watch Brian work on the mantle. We came across some clover flowers so Viola explored her flower child side.
Here Brian meticulously picks away the last bits of old paint. It probably had 10 layers from throughout the years.
These boards are what the mantle is nailed to so that you can nail the whole thing to the wall.
The only thing in the garden that doesn't look like "winter death" are the easter lilies starting to peek out of the ground. If Mary doesn't trample them all we have lots of pretty flowers coming.

Being in the garden makes Viola sleepy so she took a nap.
