Big Dig

Our newest project to start (not that we have finished any of our other projects) is a sunken path in the back yard. All of this will have big square stones and a step along the side opposite the house to put plants on.
Mary likes all of the dirt.

Here it and Mary are from the other side. This will greatly improve our drainage at the back of the house where we have a lovely pond when it rains.

And what are we going to do with all of that dirt one might ask. Well we are better filling in the hole in the front yard from the sewage pipe situation, filling in under the fence where we had stacked bricks to keep Stella in and adding a few inches of ground to the side yard. We are going to sprinkle wild flower seeds out here and have a obliging meadow between the street and our house.
