Day Trip!

On Saturday we loaded up the wagon and headed to Charleston in search of a windsurf board (Brian's birthday present). We had only communicated through e-mail with the guy selling in on Craig's list and he told us to give him a call when we were one hour away for further directions. We called, wrong number. We tried again, wrong number. Tricky. This was one situation that made having email on the cell phone very worth it. After a bit of killing time we did hear from the guy and we did get the board, then the fun began.

While waiting for Brian to get some cash at an ATM a nice man gave Viola her first dollar. Here she contemplates investing it or feeding the birds.
The family that sold us the board referred us to this farm with petting zoo. Viola finally got to try our her animal noises on the real deal. The pig was the most impressed with her grunt.
We then headed out to Folly Beach to hit up a couple of surf shops. On the way out there we practiced our surfer lingo and prepared to mingle with the other people with boards strapped to the roofs of their cars. Alas when we finally made it they were both closed. Sad.
We did see this beauty and contemplated selling every thing and living the simple life. Do you think that the three of us could live comfortably in this Chinook.
We headed back toward home only to be caught in a down pour. So we decided to stop for dinner at this rocket clad hot dog joint. Jack's Cosmic Dogs. It was fantastic. Real draft root beer, hand cut fries, and a hot dog made with carrots for me. Yummy.
