First Shoes

We have been looking for a pair of warm slippers/shoes for Viola to get her through the winter since we live in a drafty old house. We found a pair of sweater booties from baby gap that we liked but in waiting for them to go on sale her size sold out, blerg. So I went searching on Etsy for something hand made and found some that were quite fond of but $40 for a pair of baby shoes just seemed a bit silly. So Brian and I put our creative minds together and made these beauties ourselves. He came up with the pattern and I did the sewing. They are made from a pair of my old pants (no longer fitting from pushing a baby through my pelvis) and some of my grandmother's buttons. Yea, reusing, re-purposing, recycling!
