We did bring home a 5' tall 'Kandarian' banana tree. Which upon further research we have discovered may grow to 30' tall. We might should have gotten a smaller variety. But the ones growing there had bunches of fat fruit on it (usually banana trees do not fruit here) so we are hoping to have banana pancakes from our very own yard in a year or two.Saturday, October 24, 2009
Surprise Family Outing
This morning Brian told us to get dressed we were going on a surprise family outing. We were so excited, I love surprises. The Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens fall festival was our destination. There were pony rides, face painting, and a petting zoo, none of which we took part in. We walked around looking at their beautiful gardens, banana trees, and other non-line oriented activities.
