We headed for Roosevelt State Park, on Friday after thanksgiving, for the family bonding in the way of sleeping in the woods in tents.
Brian forgot his hat and had to wear mine. He looks pretty good in it but Bailey took pity on him and loaned him an extra that he had brought.
Once the fire was crackling the short people all lined up in their little chairs to warm themselves. Of coarse all of the parents brought out the cameras to catch this photo-op. We were a little worried that Viola was already frozen because when the op was over and the rest dispersed she remained, motionless. That is the Newell family tent behind Viola. It was dwarfed by the palaces brought by the Jake and Bailey Adams families. But it was quite cozy. Especially with the space heater running. It was 30 degrees outside.
Brian gave Neeter a break, since she is very pregnant, and carried Audrey back for her. They bonded.
Some people look a little rough after sleeping on the ground. They perked up after some hot chocolate.
Bailey was on griddle duty flipping the organic spray can pancakes and bacon. The troops snacked them right up.
Viola did the bonding with the cousins in the kid tent. I got regular updates through Gracie on her well being.
